OPULENT SYSTEMS 48″x48″x80″ Grow Tent (5 Leaves)

1st off, I researched and purchased this tent with the thought of upgrading and fixing it to my specifications along the way. So shelling out $3-400 was not an option as I wanted something I didn’t mind cutting, manipulating and/or ruining. I also chose this simply due to the fact they didn’t advertise themselves inside and outside the tent like other companies.

With that said the tent with NO modifications was well suited for someone starting out. Yes, there are a few pin hole light leaks (Use some dark gaf tape for a simple fix) and some gaps created from stitching. The stitching holes are normally hidden under the tent poles so not much issue there (Use a dark folded sheet or cloth to cover tent edges). With a little patience anything else is easily covered up with tape or a nice folded sheet. The fabric IS quite thick. I mistakenly let one corner of my 30lb light slip and as it dragged on the wall it just created a few pin holes rather than actually ripping or going through the material. More like a scratch. So with a lil gaf tape all holes sealed. The zipper’s work smoothly and rarely get jammed up. Though mind them when closing as its easy to leave a small gap and allow light in.

So all in all, especially at its price point (Under $90 – That can vary slightly) I would definitely recommend this tent to anyone starting out, looking to save some money or trying to DIY. The all metal frame, corners and fluid zippers make it a joy to grow in. When compared to another “cheap” tent I purchased (review coming soon) the zippers are A LOT smoother and still in use as I’ve just left the other tent open and used panda film to create a door. So for the price I don’t think this tent has much competition. While yes a $3-400 tent of comparable size may in theory last longer and have some extra added features, with a little thought this tent can provide any user with similar to the same results.

VIVOSUN 30″x18″x36″ Grow Tent (4 Leaves)

To use as my Seedling, Mother/Father and/or cloning tent the only tent I could find to fit my closet space was this. I wish I could find the same size slightly taller for drying though this may even work for that. This Vevosun tent has a great thickness to it and uses all metal parts for its frame. I didn’t go ham checking for light leaks as this would not matter much for my purposes though I suspect it would hold up fairly well minus some minor pin holes from manufacturing (Though I haven’t noticed any to date). Now with that said you can immediately see this is a highly and quickly manufactured product with little quality control as you will get extra cuts of fabric and material within your packaging so I think a thorough cleaning is in order. Yet as always, for the price what are you really looking for. The packaging includes extra accessories like 2 hanging cords for a carbon filter, some extra mylar inserts and all velcro windows and vents that install after setup. That out of the way the only major issue I have, is the zippers. They are large and look rugged yet as soon as you pull them they tug and get stuck in various places. After attempting to oil them to no change I also noticed how loud it was to open the tent (A lil Petty White 🤷🏽‍♂️) As a solution I rolled the front door like a joint and left it open. I then used some panda film and magnets to create a semi sealed door with no noise or sticky zipper. Last thing Im learning to live with is the constant logo on the tent walls which yes is a little Petty Crocker though as someone into marketing its a distraction. Leave that stuff outside the tent please or add just one per side the tile print is tacky in my opinion. Its a grow tent not sports wear lol…

With all the rants out the way I really can’t hate this Vevosun tent as it is “very” sturdy, easy to put together and the perfect size for my needs. So even with my issues I do like this tent A LOT and would recommend it to anyone starting out, in need of a seeding/cloning or mother/father tent or someone looking for a stealthy tent that’s not too small.
