SPIDER FARMER 2×2 ft LED Grow Light (4 Leaves)
My first entry light into the world of LEDS. I’ve formally dealt with 1000w MH/HPS lights and experimented with T5 fixtures. Though for my 4×4 tent application (1st grow tent) neither would work due to heat and/or size. So enter the Spider Farmer SF1000 a 100w LED fixture that measure’s 1′ x 1′ and can light an area 2′ x 2′ (hence the misleading name). A NO frills LED that just works. Don’t expect this to grow super crops or a lb per plant. Though with the right environment you could create something decent. Though in fairness I would ONLY recommend this to seed, clone or keep a mother/father plant and even then may need an additional 1 or more. At 100w with NO dimming it’s very simple to plug in and use and know what’s going on. Just raise and lower it to your needs as its comes with rope ratchets and clip harnesses. With its limitations for many this will stay a pass though at its normal discounted price, 2 sf1000’s can come out approx. $100 cheaper than most entry-level dimmable options at around $250-300.
Now full disclosure I did have to return my first sf1000 LED as a 1/4 of the lights went out after moving it to my Vivosun tent. The company including Amazon were extremely helpful and sent a replacement faster than expected. Mind you I didn’t have to ship the faulty unit until I received the new one, keeping some type of light on my plants. With no issues so far this is another product I would recommend to ANY 1st time grower, someone looking to save a few $’s or add some supplemental lightning.
